Thread: Goodguys changes their year cut off. What are your thoughts on it?

Ok, they did this with the nsra show in Springfield several years ago, pre 49 vehicles only and they had 2300-2500 vehicles, they went to the sliding 30 year cutoff and now and have 21-2200 vehicles because they made a bunch of older guys mad who would not go back. Well we are once again victims of the golden rule, or who has the most gold rules and in this case it's the vendors, they are selling more and more later model parts and will cease advertising or support unless things changed, and they win, this was told to me by a speedway rep before this all happened, he was dead on. Might as well accept it, the only thing certain is change (& taxes and death) it doesn't matter what you or I think sometimes it's that all mighty dollar...... sorry to rain on anybody's parade! I just hope that later models continue to show skill and uniqueness in their builds, as earlier cars do, so I don't have to look at a ton of newer stuff I have already seen that I can remember 30 years ago!
