Hippo, Birdy, Two Ewes, JB, how many you got under the belt? I got 75 at about 0300 this morning.

Well crikey!
Fancy you, from the other side of the world, picking up on that!
We're a day ahead of you lot; so my birthday was actually yesterday.
A very small affair (I almost said 'quiet'; but it certainly wasn't that!) with just close friends and immediate family, about twenty in total.
Four of those friends were fellow Mavericks and their wives...real hard-case people...there is never a dull moment with that lot around. The Mavericks CC was formed by a group of us (about 37 in total,) who kept getting banned from other forums...if no-one else wants us then we'll form our own group and chat amongst ourselves.
The rules are simple:
1) there are no rules,
2) only Presidents and Vice Presidents can ban other members,
3) Presidents and Vice Presidents can't be banned.
4) every member is a President and his/her spouse is a Vice President,
5)if anyone else wants to join, the consensus must be unanimous...one 'No' vote and they're out.
So with hard-case people like that pouring beer down their throats things do tend to get a wee bit frenetic. (Understatement!)
So it was certainly a night to remember, so thanks for the kind wishes Mike, and Rrumbler if your birthday party was as memorable as mine I'm well pleased for ya!Last edited by johnboy; 02-08-2017 at 11:45 AM.

Yes, Johnboy, add another "Happy Birthday" to the list from me!!! Sounds like more fond memories were made in the celebrating even if they may be a bit blurry to some...."It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells

Thanks people.
Nobody got inebriated enough that things would've become blurry; there's none of us who can handle that level of intoxication anymore...the years are catching up to us.
So nobody got drunk, they just got louder; and the stories became more outrageous and R18.
I haven't laughed so much since Ma jammed her tits in the mangle.
It was certainly a night to remember alright; close family and good company.
What else could you possibly ask for?johnboy

Happy Birthday Johnboy and Rrumbler! I hope you guys had a great day. It sure sounds like JB did!
JB, did the tits and ringer situation really happen? Every time I see you say that I wonder if that did happen, or it is just a favorite saying? It sure could be a bad deal if it happened. HahaRyan

No need to concern yourself Ryan; it didn't happen. It's a colloquialism peculiar to New Zealand, or to phrase that better: I've never heard it used anywhere else in the world; not even in Ausbloodytralia, whose slang, clichés, and colloquialisms are very similar to ours.
It's used in: 'I've never laughed so much since...' and: 'I've never heard such language since...' and: 'I've never heard such a scream since...' or: I've never seen so much blood since...'
It can be used in situations where you want to make a comparison to an extreme happening or event.
So there you have it...and I'll betcha you'll use it...feel free to...we don't have a copyright on it.

Well end of an era for me, the 57 is on it's way to a new home. It went to a friend locally. On the one hand I loved looking at it and driving it, on the other hand, seeing it every time I went out...
