Looking good!
That sucker sits perfect Cowboy. Don't sew yer fingers 2gether!!
spent all week removing the core support frame because it was too high. then i discovered the support rods were not for this truck. they were in the bed when i got it. this is one of the problems with a basket case , never know whats in the basket. get this done and hang the tank and i will be ready for upholstery . tim will be changing his phone number before this is done :)
hoping the rear comes down a couple of inches when done. still a lot of weight to add.
It is looking very nice!
Really LIKE the color. At least you had rods to make fit. Nice looking ride
slow going around here. add to the shop the new add on, fencing and field prep for spring, plowing and getting the garden ready plus i have 23 trees on the ground to cut up . no big deal when i was 40 . but i'll get there .
Me likey...........
Very, Very nice!!
Rich
Looking good Shine
10 years ago i could handle all this ok . now after the surgery and turning 65 i just get further behind. takes me a week to do a days work it seems . pulled off the truck for a bit to finish up the 56 . some things like the pasture and garden cant wait. glad i have good lights on the tractor . :)
i have learned that i can only handle one project at a time now. the days of several going at once are long gone .
I know exactly what you mean!
Rich
any day looking at crab grass beats a day looking at roots as papa always said.
You got that right Shine! Got a scare last Saturday, had to take a ride in the ambulance to the ER.
I've got COPD, and picked up a lung infection that shut my breathing down. Turned into pneumonia.
Lots of drugs, breathing treatments, tests have helped. Hope to go home tomorrow, and finish recuperating.
Great medical staff here, and support from my family. I don't usually yak about this kind of stuff, but it's
A friendly bunch here.
glad you got on top of it. luckily my lower left lung expanded after the surgery so i breath good. just dont cool down like before and breath hard sooner. my problem is the scar tissue and nerve damage in the muscle. cant hustle like i use to . tuff living on the farm because everything is lifting and such . not something i cant live with . i get the pneumonia shot now as it would likely take me out now.
stay healthy out there .
Sorry to hear that Rich B. Listen to the Doctors, they do know what they're talking about!...Both of you take care of yourselves!
Many moons ago we used to chuckle at the "ol' folks" sittin' around comparing meds and ailments, telling stories about various doctor office visits...................now we are them.
Don't let the frustration win, just keep keepin' on, but do be careful with what use to seem like a "cold", small ache, or whatever, we just ain't as tough and able to rebound as we once did. Don't take good health for granted........
Yea, I keep on trying Bob, I try to get off this oxygen tether for 2- 4 hours in the morning to get to the shop. It takes me longer to get
something done, but I keep picking at it.
Iv'e got to find a good fresh air mask to do this last body, and paint. I got another week of recovery at least than I can get
back to the shop. I just got back home a little bit ago, feels good to relax.
Take care, Rich
i use a bullard hood .
That look's great for painting. I'd like to find find one that I can also use for sanding that would
allow a little more freedom of movement.
Thank's, Rich
interior almost finished. few wires and i can put the seats in. ready to fire and go for exhaust .
Beautiful! !!
Nice, love the color.
well hell . charged the air over the weekend . discovered the motor wont take the load. spent 2 days screwing with timing and carb . finally talked to a friend who's a ford guy and now have to pull out the engine. in 84 ford retarded the cam 4 degrees . did not know this so i set the new cam straight up . sucks but the only cure is to pull it and replace the chain and gears. they looked fine so i did not replace them when i freshened up the motor . just a fyi in case you deal with a ford sb of this year or later. friggin smog crap .
Don't ya love SBF's ? Hate to say it but ya wouldn't had that problem with a Chevy.
yeah, it was good buy at the time. it was tbi car and i swapped it to a carb. had no idea on the cam timing. i wont get bit again. from now on everything i build will be an ls swap . just want to get everything out the door so i can concentrate on the move. got a ton of stuff to do .
Sorry to hear that Shine! Where are ya moving to?
oklahoma . just a few miles across the river .
Why are you moving?
Looks great Shine! Just curious what you're using for clear coat these days?
SPI universal clear .
we are moving to retire . texas property taxes are high . but ours are frozen and not really bad but property values are skyrocketing . i bought this farm as an investment for retirement and it is time to cash out . we can buy a nice home on some acreage and put some money away . plan is to just have a small shop to do my own stuff .
That sounds great. ..wishing you the best of luck...been to Oklahoma a few times and liked it there....I can relate about taxes being high...here in Illinois they are just crazy! Election coming and I'm sure the taxes will go up again! One of the gubernatorial candidates is talking about a mileage tax! Time for me to move along also!
i can replace my home there for half the cost and a third of the taxes. i also like the political climate there . too many damn Californians moving here .
well crap . i was hoping to find something but damn if i know. not chancing putting this one back in . will just drop a 5.0 roller in it .
Aren't you done with that damn thing yet? Yeah, me neither.
How you doing Shine?
thought i was ready for exhaust. engine ran ok but would not carry a load. a/c cpmp would labor it down bad. even the alt . something not right but can find it. going to drop a 5.9 roller in it and be done .
doing ok health wise but cant seem to wrap things up .
I think about moving to a more favorable political climate daily, California is lost to Hollywierd nowdays!
couple of little quirks and it's off to exhaust .
