    What a crazy fall~!

Man, I tell you what. This fall weather is crazy. It's been so warm this entire time. We have had a couple of cold nights and cold rainy days, but this is so odd for this time of year. I have noticed way more deer, raccoons, possums, and other non domesticated animals getting hit on the roads this fall too. Way too many insects. Spiders, nats, mosqitos, asian beetles, you name it. Today we are having tornado warnings and I think one just touched down 45 miles away. Is this all a sign that the winter will be just a crap show? Cold and snowy etc?

Sounds like your neighbourhood is the place to have a Auto Body Repair business. When I was a sales rep selling to the auto repair industry the guys would be grinning from ear to ear when they heard about major pile ups of the motor way systems knowing it would bring in more work. Just a pity dealing with the insurance companies made it harder to make a honest dollar form the claims.
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

We're seeing the same weather today, but several hours earlier. Winds have been gusting to 40+MPH most of the day, first straight up from he south, then switching to a SSW to SW heading, blowing towards you. Temps will begin falling shortly, but only headed down to about 40F for a low - not so bad.

We had Snow here last night (they said we got 24"+ in places), and it took out the Power for about 5 Hours-while the Snow part isn't unexpected/unusual, the Wind was (we just don't get much here)-

It has been a warmer Fall up to this week for sure, and while the Snow totals are up (I'm in the Rockies after all), it still feels like early/mid October-we always want more Snow up here (need the moisture for Water/Farmers/Skiers, and it's good for Business-we've sold more Skid Steers w/Blowers, Tractors, Pickups and Meyer Plows than usual)-

I do think El Nino is in effect here in the West (more Snow per event), however the Sun melted a lot of the Snow we received last night by Noon-crazy-the Rivers are running like mad-

I do agree though, that the Animals are attempting suicide at a higher rate this Fall than usual (and we get Elk (and an occasional Moose) in the Road!)-

Yesterday afternoon I was on the Matco truck and it began to shake back and forth violently. It's a C5500 with a 24' box full of tools. You don't just rock that thing. We didn't think much of it. After all, there is a ginormous weather alert siren right across our parking lot and it never went off. My wife called to tell me of the storm at home that had them in the basement as the sirens went off for a half hour. We ended up having several limbs and branches down at home. One of which landed on a fence rail snapping it like a tooth pick. It was a 2x4! The big branch is not in our yard or the neighbors? Nuts! Now, later at night I was in talking to the ops manager and she said there was a tornado at the Des moines airport. I was like, okay, I was here all day, how'd I miss that? She thought the same thing. I get to work today and I was asking one of our truck drivers about it. He told me that another driver watched a funnel cloud drop down go about 100yds and pick up about 8-900yds away from the Matco truck I was standing in. That's crazy! I'm going to try to see if I can get his pics.

It seems like the lower half of OK has been getting hammered the last few years.

Have y'all heard the latest on the global warming fiasco? It seems that global warming is causing the colder winters and heavier ice on the polar caps.

So, the global cooling is resultant of global warming.
