I'm not writing this thread off yet to a post mortem; I think that Ken's suggestions (thanks Ken!) were right on the button, and were taken on board.

Any input of a specific 'must see/must do' nature is exactly what I need.
It's the 'local knowledge' factor that I'm lacking...I don't know what's out there en route.
Arrival and departure dates are set; but the bit in the middle can be pretty flexible...meaning also that we won't know where we'll be on any given date or time.
Although we will be working to an 'overall' view as to route in general.
