    NASCAR last night

Anyone else catch the race from Daytona?

Not much new - cars seem "twitchy". more than last year.. I don't mind the changes actually, let's see who the real drivers are instead of a car plastered into the track by aerodynamics.

Was some beatin' and bangin' as usual but the guys were mostly calm.. 'cept Harvick when he got turned by Lagano in a turn..

Not sure if this will work but it's an old link to a model coupe on nitro.. https://fbcdn-vthumb-a.akamaihd.net/...b8009dd1369ff6

The boys with dirt track background might just get an advantage with the new trim. It might just be my eye, but it seems like the tail panel is more squareish/flat than last year. Wonder if that helps or hurts with the shorter spoiler? Seemed like they stayed in a pretty tight pack most of the time. Is that quality of drivers, shortness of the race, the lower hp this year? Probably a combination of those and other factors.

Next week we'll have almost twice as many cars and almost three times as many laps with some lower quality teams so there should be plenty of variables to mix it up, but odds are the winner will be one of those guys from last night.

I'm not sure about your prediction re; next weeks winner but, I hope NASCAR doesn't un-due the changes for this year. The cars were still driving good and had good speed, the loss of a few HP didn't seem to bother them at all.
