Micro Jump Start Battery charger combination...

    __57.jpg

I have been watching these things for a while now and finally pulled the trigger and bought one. I'm anxious to get it and see just what all I can do with it. I'm hoping to power a few led lights in a total loss system for the dirt bike while keeping everything charged up in the desert. If I need a jump start on the boat or rock crawler once in awhile it might come in handy? Anyone here have one of these things and are they what they claim? Thanks Bob

BBBob, thanks for posting this. I have a step son that does so much for us but he is impossible to buy a present for. He usually does a long Bike Road Trip every year and this would be so cool to have on the road. He's always saying just a gift card will be fine but I want to do something for him this Christmas that shows more appreciation and thought than a &$@&^@ gift card.

I have used one to start my LS3 when it had a dead battery. A friend started an F250 diesel using one when he had a dead battery. At SEMA, I used it to charge my phone battery when I forgot to charge it the night before. They appear to be useful in certain circumstances.

I was thinking the same thing for the grown kids for Christmas. In this day and age when everything is electronic I think they would get a lot of use out of it. They range from $75.00 to $175.00.

FWIW, this one seems to have better reviews and is slightly cheaper. Think we'll order a couple of these for the Step Sons.

So I received this little package today. I was really impressed with the presentation. Nice looking box with lots of information on it. Inside a nice carrying case that looks a lot like my large print bible all zipped up. When I opened it everything was in place and packaged snugly in side. Of course you go for the big thing first off the battery! nicely built with quality plastic and graphics. So I un plugged the battery's on 94 dodge dually diesel battery and gave try. It spun it over just as advertised! I did it 4 times and put it away! LOL Now what? Any way it works well and I think I will throw the cell phone on it and see if it charges it up tonight. Im really impressed with this little guy!

So how does that cost compare with the price of a new battery in the US of A?

I guess even if it's close to the same price it's not always convenient to carry a second battery!

I do a lot of extreme desert driving with a wide variety of vehicles in the winter. In the summer I use the boat quite a lot so this is very handy for those types of applications. With the cell phones, cameras, and other electronics it makes it very easy to recharge them if needed. They range from $55.00 to around $180.00. But with 400 cranking amps with a peak of 600 cranking amps it is a stout little unit. it is supposed to hold a charge for up to 6 mos. and easily recharged. I dont know as it is brand new to me... Time will tell I suppose. I purchased 2 of the jumper packs from Costco over the past year. The first one just died and the replacement for it has died as well. $75.00 each and they lasted 1 year combined? They could never crank my diesel over.

Also, for a guy driving a quad or a jeep off road, it is handy to carry....to help other folks on the trail, of couse. The only unknown for me is the frequency that I need to put it back on the charger.....if I tuck it under the seat and forget it, I will have a dead jump start battery!

This one has 5 little blue LED charge Level indicator light. Makes it nice to see how much charge you have. It also comes with a 12 volt cig lighter charger or 115v wall charger. 6 mos charge and they are claiming 35 jumps on a v8 with a single charge?

    My product review on amazon...

So I was showing this new toy off to the neighbors at the shop the other day. Today they were banging on the fence trying to get my attention. Seems the contractor digging up the street had a dead battery in his Dodge diesel 2500. I grab up my little satchel of raw power and skipped right up to the laughing crowd. Snickers of doubt over shadowed the pessimists who were in full gloat mode. I hooked up my cute little battery clips and said hit it! Cranked that diesel so fast it had to start! I dont think the engine got two full revolutions before it started. The jeers turned to wonderment and amazement. I packed up my little bag of goodies, stuck my nose in the air and proudly strutted back to the shop... Bad ass little tool!

I ordered 2 of the NOCO Genius Boost and received them today but the quality reports will have to come from my Step sons after Christmas.
