Sorry to hear of your loss of three friends in such a short time. A few years ago I picked up on the advice you shared, made it a signature line, and see it every day on a pocket piece my daughter had engraved for me as a gift. Even with that It's easy to get tangled in trivial junk as you say. My sympathies...
