    4 old 4cyl 4 spd sports cars 1 price

Found a guy that has 4 unusal cars for sale that he would wants to sell as a package.
    1 1979 Lancia Zagota
    2 1970 Opel Gt
    3 1972 Saab Sonnet
    4 1969 Volvo P1800S
I went and looked and drove them all. They all run and are all sticks and 4 cyl. None are perfect but none are rusted. They are all pretty original except Opell and Volvo which have been customized with aftermarket, rims, exhaust and some performance engine mods. I don't know much about any of these cars but they all look sporty and while none are super quick based on my big block Ford standards they are all snappy high in revs. Anyway what do you guys think? Are these valuable ,rare high performance sport cars?
    Just kidding ?

Oh the most important part he wants 25,000 for all of them. All have clean titles,no salvage titles. Mileage really unknown all show under 100,000 but they all could have rollled he doesn't know. Thanks guys.

If you Google each one they all seem to be in the $5000 range for a run of the mill, average vehicle. The Lancia is probably the sexiest of the bunch if you like that styling (not my cup of tea) and there's a very clean, rust free Arizona car that popped up for $6900 asking price. The little Opel's were very common when new, and were not seen as quality cars but more of a toy or lady's car as I recall. Value is an individual thing, to each his own and let the buyer beware, right? Unless they are pristine I'd say he's got the right asking price for the bunch as a seller, with lots of room to negotiate to their true value.

Thanks I looked them up and none seem extremely rare or valuable . I like the Saab the best with its hoodscoop, sunroof and true duals from V-4 and made for 12yrs. I've only ever seen one. Opel was only made a couple years though I've seen a ton of them. Who knew he Volvo P1800 S and SE were made all thru 60's and. early 70's? I. never saw them. A 1966 Volvo P1800S also owns world record for most miles on a car over 3 million . Thanks

Their really not my cup of tea either. Though in 80's I did have a 1987 Dodge Charger GLHS and 1988 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. They both were quuck for what they were. After dumping a ton of money in both of them they were really quick ( for the 80's ). When I sold them I lost my ass on both. lol. Maybe if I could jew him down a bit it might be worth it? I doubt I'd be able to make any money on resale as they all need some work and parts are probably expensive and impossible to get. While I didn't see any rust who knows what lies beneath and all needed touch ups.

Taling the deal for 21,000. Pick them up this weekend
It should be exciting for my neighbors anyway as I'm sure they have never seen any of these cars. I have no idea what I will do with them or why I even need them. Maybe clean them up and resell. Maybe try. a 5.0 drop in on a couple. Could be interesting.

Good Luck! It's a "unique" collection to be sure. Maybe there is value in parting them out? I haven't a clue... Like you, the Volvo might benefit from a 5.0 swap.

Yeah, even at $21,000 there's not a lot of meat there, considering the market prices, and the market for sports cars with V8 conversions is not a big market. Maybe some frugal detailing, investing elbow grease and low cost expendables can push you into higher sales numbers? Best of luck with your flips.

Thanks guys. Your right its going be hard to make any real money on this deal. I think a 5.0 in Volvo is the one I was thinking of also. Maybe a hoodscoop, big wing and tub it. I don't know? I'll keep you posted. 2 are red,one is blue, one is yellow.

Ok after I pick them up I'll post some pics. The Saab and Lancia are red,the Volvo is blue and Opel is yellow. I what to go over each one and have them detailed from top to bottom serviced and then find out what issues need attention. The Opel and Volvo have aftermarket wheels, exhaust and performance mods to engines so they. are not original.

Zagato was a body company that designed/ bodied Lancia's for many years. They made several variations.. Is it a Beta?

Lancia had the idea to build the best car they could not stopping for cost, but they went broke and sold to Fiat. cars sold after the sale in the late 60's don't have as much collector value as those built before

    Cool

The manual said it is called Spyder in Italy, Zagato in America but also says itt is a Beta Spyder Targa and its sold along with the Opel today. I broke even on them. I'm going to keep P1800S and Sonnet and make a couple import killers out of them when money allows. I'm trying to close a deal on a 1968 472 ci Eldorado 1971 2dr 440 ci New Yorker pair so I needed the money. IWish me luck.

Didn't get Eldorado or New Yorker. But got 1969 347 Stroker in Volvo and 1995 Cobra 302 in Sonnet. Motors are in ,rear ends are modified and in. Still a million things to do. Having a tough time posting pictures of anything on this site. I took pics of my stroked bg block 69 Ford and 76 Cordoba posted them I thought. Went back they were gone. After X-Mas,you all like pictures you're gonna love these.
    Merry Christmas.j
