Thanks all, looks like I made the right choice whether to post the pictures or not.

Whip, we had fantastic weather for those two weeks, Only 2 days of light rain, one while in Dunedin (went on the train trip where weather was fine) and other was on the last day in Christchurch.

One thing that amazed us was how saturated the ground was underfoot. Talking to locals they were saying some of the rivers still had not dropped back to normal levels for over a month, so we felt lucky.
