    Is it a kit?

Sooooo . . . I'm in my garage and I guy stops, looks and gets out of his car. After seeing my '34, he tells me he worked for Street Rodder magazine back in the 90's and asks if it's available for a music video. I tell him it's not running, but he doesn't care. Then, I tell him that it's a lot of work to take it down off the jackstands, move it somewhere, move it back and put it back up on the jackstands. He then wants to look at it a bit, and guess what the first words out of his mouth were? You only get one guess. (My unspoken thought: "You worked for Street Rodder and asked if it was a kit? Suuuuure you did.")

Exactly why my gate is closed and I only open it for the next appoitment. I hate to be so negitive but that is why I dont drive my junk any more. Im so tired of all the lame conversation. I find myself just building things and smiling to myself with Mr. Customer. It's all good, you know real quick who is blowing smoke and who isnt. Love your kit car by the way!

I like starting up my kit corvette and watching the haters wonder why it's knocking and smokes a little. Haha

The kit car thing used to get me upset, now I've figured out that it's a good "identifier" of people who know absolutely nothing about Hot Rods.

The next time I get this question, I'm going to have a one-word answer, "No," with a smile on my face and no further explanation.

Or you could say "yeah, it came in a big cardboard box with Revel on the front. It's amazing what some glue and paint can make!"
"It even came with instructions for ages 30 and up!"

To quote a friend who simply says, "Yes, it is a kit put together by FORD in 1936".
