Went out to the Las Vegas Speedway yesterday.

The wife and I went out to meet up with a bunch of friends yesterday.
It was the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.
It sure has changed from when I was a kid going out to run my ol Charger.
That place is so built up it's unbelievable.
They have every kind of track out there you can think of, it's crazy and huge.
Anyway I think the fastest thing we seen yesterday was about 325 miles a hours.
We didn't stay to watch the Jet engine dragsters because we had to meet some other folks for a Rib Buffet at Sam's town at 5pm. When my buddy told us to meet him at the drags we had no idea all the folks that were gonna be out there with him. I knew a few of them from years ago. He took the wife and I around and introduced us to everyone. I started out with just his crew and their family's then soon turned in to 15 or 20 other guy's he helped build their cars. Then all of there family's and their crew's plus 3 or 4 machinist and their family's. It turned in to about 100 people quick. I think the best part for me though was when he started telling everyone that I got him in to drag racing and taught him how to build his first motor. Then He gave the wife and I one of their T shirt's which all his crew and family wore. All in all it was a great day.

Sounds like you guys had a great day Kurt! The racing has changed, but as you found out there are still a whole lot of good people involved in it!!!!

Ya it was a great time Dave. We have a lot of stuff planned coming up in the near future.
Nothing like ol' friends and fast cars.
