    "1D" is the dealer designation, and that's the 13th plate in his line, as I understand.

    Thanks Roger, that's what i would think as well. Sooooo, why are they asking big bucks for the "1L" plates that they say are the Shelby American designation? They both are 1963 black plates.

    I'm either too suspicious or just really slow!

    Apparently the "1L" was Shelby America, and they had a total of 74 plates, with several that went missing.
