Larson looked good in practice, for sure.....But lookout for Scott Bloomquist, he did a few fast laps up top, then started looking around for where he could do some passing. The track was done up in dry slick, more then likely how it will be for at least the last half of the race tonight!!!!! Shrader should be good, watched him a number of times on dry slick tracks, he's good! Ryan Newman is another one that was looking real good in Tuesday's practice!\

Sign of things to come???? Shrader was fast qualifier!!!!

Don't know about you guys, but what I saw was probably the best show I've seen in years. I think Tony & Nascar made history last night. Man oh man that Last chance Dog race was about good as it gets and the Feature, what can I say.

Yup, good races all the way through the event!!!!! Eldora has always been at the forefront of innovation in dirt racing, last night just showed why!!! First class operation from Tuesday's practice to the last lap of the Feature!!!

I was able to see Ken Schrader lead some laps but work required me to get some sleep... Not sure if a second line opened up later but it looked like a fast race track.

tony.jpgTypical Midwest summer track. Black and slick. Looked like Shrader's guys dialed him outa the park for the second round, But looked like they straightened it out for the final session, he was on the bottom making progress but ran outa laps.
Cool deal last night @ 1 of our local tracks. I was busy and didn't go but got a message from track owner Kevin Gundaker (Tri-City Speedway, Granite City Il.) They where having a midget & Sprint car special last night and Kevins message said " Tony Stewart is @ the pit shack signing in with a midget and a sprint car !" My shop is rockin this morning so I haven't had a chance to look at the results.
Also got a message from my buddy who was there " Been going to the races since 1960 and this is the first time I ever saw em flip the wrecker" ??????

O.K. Dave. Tow truck was actually 1 of P.O.W.R.I. push trucks. Jeeps ? no body work, full cages, sprint car tires on all 4 and a boom on the back. they where pushing the sprints off. Push truck started a guy dropped back & moved to the outside like he should. Sprinter moved to the inside like he should. But when they got to the pit gate (outside wall exit) The sprinter decided to make a right and exit track. Turned right in front of push truck and you know what happened from there. My witnesses say it was sprinters fault. Sprinter is on face book saying it was push trucks fault. I know both of em . both good guys. Who knows, it's racin chit happens. Bad thing was sprinters tore up. Another bad thing push truck had a gal riding shotgun, driver and her went out and the push truck landed on and pinned her. Good news is for some dang reason nobody got hurt.
