I'm just back from Louisiana, after 2 weeks the wife has a buncha honey do's... but the weather doesn't look good for the weekend anyway!

So I'll have to live vicariously through you all... So what's on the agenda?

For me it's "chillin" and "grillin" but not especially in that order.

In this area I have to wait until tomorrow morning for the intermittent rain to pass. Then we'll have a few real nice days where first I plan to fix the flat on my rear tire**, then go for a nice long drive, come home and do some grillin', go for another nice drive, come home and go to bed, wake up, have coffee and go for another nice drive, rinse, repeat as needed. On Memorial Day we have a nice respectful Memorial Day parade and event in my little town, words spoken, shots fired, kids run to get the cartridges, then we head back to town for food and drinks along the main street which is closed to traffic and all the pubs and shops spread out into the street. I also have one car show/meet I hope to attend.

**: this is an M&H drag radial (tubeless) and I found a long nail right through the tire in the middle of the tread. So do you guys think I can just have it plugged and patched inside and it'll be OK, no tube needed?

Love the rinse and repeat part!!
While I haven't tried it myself (on a drag radial), I'd think a internal patch should be fine without a tube.

Painting, sanding, painting, sanding and polishing, with some re-assembly thrown in, too.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Lest we forget what Memorial Day is all about:

    In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
    Canadian Army
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
    In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields.
