    Anyone make homemade Jecky??

Kind of my newest soft spot. The store bought stuff is expensive and I am thinking I want to dabble alittle in tastes I can't get off the store shelf's.
What I have read so far the reason why it's so expensive is it takes alot just to make 18oz'es.I do think it would make the perfect shop snack.

It's good stuff. I also like it since it's easily portable wherever I go. I'm fortunate to be one of the lab rats for daily experiments from our bbq department; I'm in the industrial products side of things which is where the inspiration for bbq controls started. Here's the bbq website and they have a couple good recipes for jerky on the "BBQ Resources/recipes" link: The BBQ Guru temperature control barbequeing
