Not sure about Brent, other than he's got his "day job" that puts food on the table in addition to several forums he works. It gets frustrating for us folks that are on here a lot, and I agree new folks might not take time to learn the work arounds to find stuff, like your own thread after a couple of days..... If you're away for a week or two it's all but impossible to know what you've missed....it's buried in archives, and no way to search simply by date.
I understand that Bill is busy and that Brent is as said above. But I've had my trials and tribulations with family and jobs as well, like probably near 100% of the rest of the folks here over 40-50 years old. It never halted the rest of my life. Unfortunately the fact is that they have created a mess from a very good social media that had the attention and support of literally thousands of interested parties. Maybe it's time for Bill to step back and relinquish his mod status (or should I say operator status) and maybe it's time for Brent to consider the sale of these assets to someone who really cares about maintaining this formerly interesting forum. Making excuses, a single operating moderator and a disinterested owner really doesn't solve the problems that have existed since before the 'big change' 18-24 months ago. At this point, I'm considering this a dying forum. Yeah, I'll probably, out of habit still check in occasionally, but really don't see any positive upward changes happening, so again, and as before will limit myself to an occasional post - that is unless I get banned for this post for stating the obvious.
