    Happy Friday----Whatcha up to???

Supposed to make it into the 50's here today, this time of year we'll take every day like this we can get--March has often been the Big Snow month!!!

Nothing big planned for us, I'll be working on the Cutlass today, then probably help my friend Craig on his old Chevy pickup ('49 I think) tomorrow. He's like many "new" Hot Rodders, made it to the "empty nest" point in his life and decided to build the truck he would have like to build years ago!!!!

Whatcha up to for your weekend??????

    PS---Beware the Ides of March!!!

In the KC area we're headed to 77F today , but then back to a high of 49F tomorrow I'm working on fitting the hood on the '33, along with sanding door gaps and looking at how to re-work the grill splash apron extension that I cut out for clearance at the lower radiator mounts. May run into town today or tomorrow to see a friend's re-purposed building that houses a bunch of collectible cars, wall art and his extensive pedal car collection.

Well, my hands will be sanding and priming some drywall, but my mind & imagination will thinking about my upcoming 5.0EFI/AOD swap into my 66 F100....

Warming up the battery to the '51 Chevy. Going to pull it out, check the brakes and see if I can get it back on the road. Also dabbeling at getting my 1961 Custom Craft boat apart for restoration but, I'm at a stand still with that.

Randy - sounds like my day. I'm doing a bathroom rehab. New tub is in (the quality of that piece is crap), 'rock is repaired or replaced and in the midst of tiling (but on a caffeine break as I type this). Toilet and vanity are fairly, so just a wax job on them. Later, going to a political dinner my wife is planning for our area state senator, not for either of the two fed libs. The car - that's hopefully next week, but am planning its mods in my mind - maybe an MSD Atomic EFI if I don't have expensive innard repairs looking for my elusive clunk

    Well,

I am working on laying out my Console (Switches, A/C Controls, Vent, etc.), and Throttle Linkage (why oh why doesn't Hilborn make a Linkage Kit for their Injectors? And, of course, it has to sit sideways )-I am going to use a Bellcrank (to slow down the Throttle input a little-something like this:

King Racing Products 2060 : King Ultra Lite Aluminum Bell Crank

I think I am going to make a sealed compartment behind the Seats to house the Battery and to be able to store some cleaning stuff and such (and maybe serve as a small jumpseat (?)-not sure on this part yet, but we'll see how this progresses/looks)-won't get this all done this weekend (I have the Flu-yippee!), but I will do something-sick or not, I have to make some kind of progess!

You guys have fun (I hate doing Drywall, but my Wife is a master texturer (is that a word?)

Brought my son to the dentist to get some teeth pulled. On the way home, stopped off at a customers shop & lettered a Kabota excavator. This afternoon I have 42 road construction signs to re-letter (sign of spring). Got some laminated signs (55 of them) that I have to CNC cut PVC for & assemble. I'll spend the rest of the day cutting vinyl for next week.

Tomorrow I plan to re-fab some exhaust for Jeff's Camaro since he's installed a new set of long tubes.

Well, the lovely Miss Jane and some of the girls (that's what she calls them) have gone to Dallas to visit a modern art (that's what she calls it) museum.

    I am home alone.

When she left I was in the shop/garage repositioning some of my treasures (that's NOT what she calls it) while trying hard to not trash my nearly useless spinal column ..... again.

Now, Jane is a sweet, soft-spoken "woman of few words" but I learned a long time ago that when she does speak I dang well better listen. As she was walking out to the Chevy she softly suggested that we try to sell of some of this stuff (except she didn't say stuff) pretty soon.

Translation: GET RID OF A BUNCHA THIS CRAP OR I'LL PUT IT IN A GARAGE SALE. IF IT WON'T SELL IT'S GOING OUT BESIDE THE ROAD WITH A "TAKE IT" SIGN ON IT".

That, friend Dave, should tell you what I'm doing this weekend.

Went to the cut-off metal store and picked up some materials for Ole Yellar's rust repair.Picked up some stuff while there to try to get around not having a E-wheel.

It was clear and about 51F in the Philadelphia area today. Tomorrow back down to 37'ish with possible light rain here and there. Sunday back to about mid 40's and partly cloudy. It's typical of the undamped occilation of weather we get around here this time of year.

I'll be altering the oil pan in my new motor so the headers clear and then completing the exhaust system. I think by the time the weather is reliably decent I'll have this thing back on the road, so watch out innocent bystanders!

Good morning guys, well down here in NZ we are into Saturday and we have fine sunny weather again, the whole of the North Island has now been declared a drought zone. We are all waiting for the remnants of Topical Storm what is her name stuck out in the Tasman Sea to make land fall but the large high over the country is resisting the push so we wait for the rain to come. Although we are still into our Hot Rod season here with the National Drag racing National on for three days this weekend and then the Beach Hop the following weekend which is the same weekend as Rod McMillan's Leadfoot Festival with many overseas guests and cars coming. Then over the Easter weekend we have the Street Rod Nationals being held at Taupo which should be exceelent event as there are so many Rodders that have travelled up from the South Island to take in the events. Now, as for me, I'm stuck home looking after Mum so I will enjoy the coverage of said events via the computer.

I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.
