That '50 Nash looks like a bumper car, and with some bags to set the height, chopping off the "push bar" bumper guards and some lovin' in the right places it could be an awesome family cruiser, IMO. Yep, "It's so ugly, it's cute!" applies to a lot of the old iron - even that show boat DeSoto if it had a pair less doors.... Now that "creation" R2 posted?? Not sure that one's not beyond hope!

Well, a little google search helped to remind me what it is....a 1937 Airomobile.....who knew?! It's part of the Aerodynamics Exhibition on display at the Peteresen. It looks pretty cartoonish.....might be a good car for Nemo.....as in "Finding Nemo" or perhaps a nice cruiser for Orca Winfrey!

Ah, but I digress....Here's the link to some other weird cars at that exhibit Petersen Museum to host aerodynamics exhibition - Autoweek

I knew this would be a controversial subject, since personal taste can vary so much.

Many many cars remind me of the old saying... "It's so ugly, it's cute!" {:-)

Thanks for quantifying / clarifying that!

I think I may be in a minority of 1 here...I like '59 Chevs, I like the earlier Edsels, and (on Pepi's list!) I think A C Cobras are bloody gorgeous!

(But I'm in total agreement with some of the other twisted machinery!)

What cars are fugly is a subjective thing.... Personally, haven't seen one pictured on here yet that I don't like!!! I wish we could go back to the days when the stylists weren't vetoed by the bean counters and the manufacturers built some Plain Jane look-a-like and TOLD us that's what we liked!!!!!

Oh yeah, the only car MORE gorgeous then an AC Cobra is the Cobra Daytona coupe!!!!---and that's just my subjective opinion.

I tend to agree with you, but those AMC Pacers (especially) and Gremlins are beyond my comprehension. Cars of today with few exceptions appear to have come from the same mold after being designed by the same engineers, regardless of brand - especially if they are Japanese based econoboxes.

I even like that Kaiser, '58 Chebbies and '59 Caddies - they had CLASS DISTINCTION.

Speaking of Kaisers.....I used to see this one rumble around Santa Monica sometimes. It's pro-street with wall-to-wall rear tires and would shake the earth at stop lights.....
