Started out with a cheapo Kodak, moved up to a Nikon Coolpix a number of years back, and now I'm going to go to a digital SLR. Been looking at a couple different Nikon models and a Cannon. Haven't done much studying on them yet, but it's definitely on my round-to-it list!!!!
Look at the Cannon EOS 60D at Costco - Canon EOS 60D DSLR Camera with 18-200mm Lens Bundle Some great discounts out there for Holiday Shoppers!

Nice setup, too much stuff for a crazy old Norwegian like me!!! Thinking my budget is about going to be about $600 for the replacement camera.

Yeah, the EOS 60D is a lot of features, and very confusing. Maybe something more like this, to max out your budget!! Amazon.com: Nikon D3200 24.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR NIKKOR Zoom Lens (Black): NIKON: Camera & Photo
