So glad it was the tire that hit the pole!!

One time, a long time ago, I was putting gas in my '37. While I was inside paying, I looked out and saw the car rolling out into oncoming traffic!! Fortunately, it didn't have time to build up too much speed and an oncoming driver slowed enough that the front bumpers just kissed! My bumper flexed just enough to crack the chrome plating but I was just thankful it didn't destroy the whole front end or hurt anyone!! Needless to say, my shifter got some much needed adjustment after that.....
