There's a few of us still do our Friday afternoon visit at one of the nursing homes here in town. Always at coffee time, and many of the residents gather in the dining room for afternoon coffee. We usually join in the card games, bingo, or whatever the afternoon's fun is.... Lisha goes with us occasionally, as well as a few of the other's grandkids. We all have a good time. Been doing this ever since I moved to town and it truly is a rewarding and often humbling experience!!! When we bring kids with us, the residents always seem to perk up a bit... Lisha has a lot of adopted Grandma's and Grandpa's there, Lexi will soon be old enough to come with us, too! It isn't much, I know. But it's something easily done and I would highly suggest it for others to try!!! Just a couple hours once a week isn't that big of a deal.... Of all those we've taken with us for a coffee time visit, my dog "Pepper" is the one always most welcomed!!!!
