Made it under the knife once again
Had my torn miniscus repaired yesterday. Have to admit it's always a relief to wake up after surgery! I'm lucky in that I had my syrgery done at the hospital I work at, and was able to get a friend to be my anestesiologist! He's now seen me safely through 3 operations in the last 7 years. Best part is, I've been playing beat the clock all summer, painting the house by hand(with brush). My goal was to get it done before the surgery. The house is about 2500 sq. ft., and three stories in some places. I had a party tuesday night with steaks and beer for dinner, getting everything done, except four window on the back porch, which my wife kindly volunteered to do. So now I have six weeks off work, and hope to start some less knee stressing stuff of it. It's wierd walking on it, it doesn't really hurt, but you can hear fluid slushing around in the joint! I got crutches to take the strain off the socket.
Funny thing is I volunteered to help for a California Pistol and Rifle Assoc. event tomorrow in Sacramento. It starts at 7a.m. and goes to 7 p.m. My wife thinks I'm nuts, but these guys do what the can to keep our gun laws protecting our gun owners, and they do great education services for young shooters, and other safety programs. Besides tomorrow they have an automatic weapon firing event, that I hope to get a chance to fire one(as I never have) I know REDNECK! My event is to reload magazines for the young shooters, .22 range. That should be fun love helping kids become safe shooters!
Anyway, looking foward to some time off, and glad the house is done, so the fun projects can begin!Last edited by stovens; 08-24-2012 at 10:31 AM.

I check in everyday and some are better than others. I don't think Brent has anything to do with the forum anymore, but I'm not sure. Hopefully as time moves on the forum will get better.
Where is everybody?
