Help! ...lost altered! ....want to find!

Many years ago a friend of mine built an A/Econo Altered. It had a big block Chevy and a powerglide. I was lucky enough to get to build the stretched body, and paint it for him. He was later forced to sell it to another Tucson Racer.

Under the new owner, it made a brief appearance in the late seventies running as a "Fuel Altered" at Tucson's Fuel Altered Nationals. He qualified, but broke the engine. A year or so after that, the car sold less engine to a Texas racer, and we never heard any more of it.

Here are a few pictures. If you have seen a car with this one-of-a-kind stretched Bantam body, with flip up hatch for driver entry... even if it was long ago... please let us know what you can. If the stars are aligned... my buddy might want to reunite with it. If not, at least we would know it's fate. Thanks.

And I'm pickin that there are hundreds of old racecars stashed away up there that havent been seen for years/decades,too..Every once in a while, someone uncovers something that hasnt been seen for decades, down here...Hopefully,someone will know where it is..Good luck with the search..

Anybody else? The body is distinct. Besides the "stretch"... the fairing built over the roll bar, with a flip-up hatch would be different than most others Bantams.
