Good to hear from you again TECH/Richard! I did not know you were gone for a while because I got busy writing a second book that involved meeting deadlines that I did meet sometimes only by hours but that is done now. I am trying to finally get my fiberglass '29 running this summer. It is amazing that my joining date was in 2004 when I first bought a used SBC 350 but all I need to do is to finally get the horn working after a lot of fumbling with the headlight switch. At times the wiring seemed very discouraging and I just abandoned the car over the winter but recently I got it all working except the horn and now need to set the valves again. I am going to replace the present 1.6 ratio rockers with 1.5 roller rockers just until the 350 breaks in to avoid cam problems when it is started in July. I have been able to do almost all the work myself but John York has a turnkey Cobra shop close by and he replaced the 8" rear ring/pinion to a 3.55 ratio and plopped the 350 in the Brookville frame for me. I will try to get everything as finally finished as possible and hope that he can fit in a week at his shop to get it running and help with the Va title process. If I had $40,00 I could just purchase one of his finished Cobras but as it is I wiil finish up about $15,000 all together. Glad you are back on the Forum as a great source of expertise!
