    Navy jet crash

A F-18 crashed in Virgina Beach today about 1 mile from where our son is. Took a while to get through to him but all are safe

Glad your son wasn't too close - can be frightening to parents, especially, not knowing.

I always hate to hear of an airplane, military or other 'fall' into a residential area. A few years ago a private plane collided with a bigger aircraft over Burlington, NJ killing about 20 national guardsmen. Debris landed in my daughters yard and roof and a body went through the roof of the house across the street A couple other nearby homes were damaged by fires.

Aww,yuck..That would be gross,,having some poor guy plummeting through your roof.. Bad enough having bits and pieces of aircraft landing in your yard..Glad your son escaped the damage Charlie..
I get a little anxious sometimes when my wife has gone into town to work,or shopping, and I hear sirens out on the highway ten minutes later..she's a good driver, but you never know what can happen out there..There are so many oxygen thieves out driving, anything can happen..
