Those 'notices' make me laugh. We had that around here a couple years ago when the prices spiked. You drive 'X' miles extra to save a few cents and burn an extra gallon or so of $4.00 gas then add in maintenance.

These are days when I'm happy I didn't opt for a diesel in my truck as the later, EPA strangled versions of the big three are not getting much if any better fuel mileage then a gasser - that diesel fuel locally is in the mid to high four buck range now
