Actually, now that I think of it. The first person everyone looks to after an engine blows up, is the crew chief. He's the one who does the tune-up settings.

They are called divers to differentiate them from the top siders
of course thats for crews with 3 or more guys
I just want to know what they call the person who keeps the flowers on the hospitality tables looking nice???? I know that they call the Tuesday truck washer/drtailer Truck Driver----
And owners either John or Don-------

Actually, usually we depended on me, John and the driver---
at most of the west coast races there were two or three other buddies around, and they had crew shirts, and they helped, but not like todays doin's
