I get a little bummed when I see the build attribution to SoCal only. The car was actually built by a guy named Jackie Howerton, he fabbed Indy car stuff for years at his shop on the Speedway property. Hand fabricated virtually everything, and the guy is a detail freak as well as master craftsman. I saw the car around 5 years ago at the SoCal open house during the LA Roadsters weekend and clicked a few. Here are some shots of what SoCal started with when they did all the fine finish work to get it where it is today. I'm sure they massaged each and every part for the guy who bought it to make it show winning capable, and deserve credit for that, but Howerton should be given equal billing at least.Last edited by Bob Parmenter; 02-04-2012 at 06:10 AM.
