Dave - The next time you go to a street rod/hot rod event/drag race/etc, take a look at the "grey beards" wandering around, often on their scooters from having too much fun in their youth. Also, those younger ones - too busy with jobs, some with more then one trying to support their growing families with no money left for an expensive hobby. Then there is the real unemployment number of 23 million or 16+% (U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time - far right side column)

I know what you mean,Dave!!! Last summer we had an 'over 50 only' bracket race one Friday night....there was 14 of us--and 5 of us still run manual shift cars, which really confuses the heck out of all the kids and their Flowerglides!!!!! ---and yes, we're all turning some very consistent times, too..... Anyway, it was a blast--we ran it no delay boxes, tranny brakes, 2 step rev limiters ok..... Already a bit of talk about doing it a few more times this summer!!!!!

Well Im not a new guy by any means...but its been a while since I visited here. Just never could get used to the format. I stop by and lurk for a little bit though. I see most of the familiar names here. Noticed that itoldyouso hasnt posted in awhile.

I saw a couple new names, maybe we can entice them to participate here...

Well, we've had some new members come aboard.. maybe they won't be bashful and take "our" Poll?

I collect a pension and SS. Life is good at 65 and counting. Still can't figure out how I found time to work. Nothing like a good power nap when the mood hits. It hits often.

Just a bump to the top, hope the new guys see this and punch in their 'mileage'!!!!

52 and not kickin to high

I thought I had done this..Must have been the old one.. 58 for another 5 months,,but whose counting..I'm having too much fun to give a big whoopsy.. My late dad only realised he was getting old about 12 months before he passed..( At 90)
