4th of July the Mrs and I entered our 06 Charger in the Classy Chassis Car Show held at Ft Lewis Army Base then stayed for the Lt. Dan Band (Gary Sinise) concert. Gary Sinise is a real patriot and puts on one helava show. Some of the pics of the concert are a bit out of focus, sorry www.clubhotrod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44081

More pics. The guy who owns the 06 Custom Charger in this post said he has $20,000 into this over and above the initial cost of the car. Besides the shaved trim notice the shaker intake system.Last edited by Jack F; 07-06-2011 at 10:40 AM. www.clubhotrod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44081

 And it continues,
Wish I could add the 5 pics allowed. Will add some of the concert. The kid behind Gary on the drums is his son who sometimes joins the group.

 Thanks guys,

I knew he did USO tours for our troops in battle theaters but I didn't know during the "TV" season (CSI NY) he does weekend shows here in the US at different bases. He did this show for the troops at FT. Lewis/McCord AFB but there was also a VIP group of state officials, the car show group, and many other people here for other festivities who got to take advantage of the concert. Just my opinion but I think he may just be the next Bob Hope. What a great guy.

 Jack.

P.S. We didn't take home a trophy (didn't expect to) but went just for the festivities. www.clubhotrod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44081

Sorry I missed this one, wasn't on the published calendar.
Saw an interview with Sinese a few nights ago, he was asked if the reports that he's done around 400 of these the past few years was true. He modestly said, "No, that's a bit of an exageration, just somewhere over 200." Yeah, what a piker! Yeah, what a piker! The original name of the band was something else, but he said the troops kept referring to it as the Lt. Dan Band, so he started using that instead. A genuinely wonderful man. Hi Unc,
I would have missed it too had the Maple Valley Street Rats news letter not had a link to it, hint hint. It was a good show with 200+ cars. It was a good show with 200+ cars.
