Watched some of the Ute races, not as good of coverage as the Supercars though...

A US version of the Supercar would be kewl, maybe a Caddilac CTSV coupe chasing an LS-6 powered Monte Carlo and both of them trying to run down that Shelby that's half a lap ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The racing itself reminds me of the old Trans Am Series, look at some of the showroom race cars that came out of that series!!!! and maybe even a US manufacturer making a progressive shifter for a 6 speed that doesn't cost 2 arms and half a leg!!!!

My first ever race job was with an IMSA GT-U team when it was Mustang's, Camaro's, and Firebirds---sure would like to see something like that series again!!!

    Carroll Shelby

Learning must be difficult for those who already know it all!!!!

I dont know what your new Chevs and Pontiacs look like, but I think they are based on the Holden body..or,at least, some of them..The Monaro was only made for a short time, that is,in the present shape,,and I think it is the same basic body that you guys have up there..I know the Cadillac is based on the Holden body shell, cos NZ ended up with a bunch of them here,RHD,which the local dealers sold off,,real quick..If the Aussie supercars are a regular thing up there,,its bound to rub off somewhere,,so both countries will get a lot out of it,,plus,a few of our young rising stars can get a shoe in the door,too..I would like to see young Shane van Gisbergen try out in NASCAR,,as well as race in this series up there as well as down here..

I for one am looking forward to an alternative to the NA$CAR racing which is starting to really get boring. Complaints like The track isn't smooth enough. There isn't enough grip. Heck, NA$CAR used to mix dirt and paved tracks on the schedule (65 or so races/year). Some of the drivers are starting to whine like the F1 crew - 'he bumped me', 'he blocked me' (think Tony Stewart at Fontana----huh?) and so on. When we have it on TV, I do try to catch it - the only 'problem' is that we don't have enough to know the drivers. Yet
