I was just thinking the same thing. I know he is ok because we email each other occasionally, and I just got one from him a week or so ago. I know his businesses are taking more of his time these days and he has some other stuff going on (good stuff, not bad stuff:)) Beyond that, not sure why he hasn't been here much. I miss his posts too. I know a few of us were a little put off by the site changes, but not sure if that has anything to do with it...........at least I don't think so.

It could be, Steve. I'm sending him an email to check on him, and will let him know he is missed on here.

After Ken posted that he was having trouble finding his old threads and missed the old "More" button I e-mailed him and included links to his build threads, plus step-by-step how-to on getting to them in the forum. Ken appreciated the links, but told me that he did not get the same feeling of chatting with old friends from the new format. He has not been back since, that I have seen.Quote:

No, I agree, it's ok but doesn't compare somehow to the way it felt before. I considered not coming on any more but am learning to live with it. That doesn't mean I like it, just that I tolerate it.

Ken is out of town (out of town to him)
Ok, I just got a reply email from Ken. He's got it really tough............he and the family are vacationing in Hawaii ! :cool::LOL: Should be back in a couple of weeks.
He also said he can't get onto CHR any more to post, and I told him when he gets back I'll try to help him fix that issue.
He goes to Hawaii and my vacation is spending the day at WalMart. :o:LOL:

Not sure, Bill. I spoke with him one day on the phone and he mentioned he found the new format tough to figure out. Then, in the email he just sent me, he says he can't post. When he gets back I'll get more info from him and try to help him get on. I'm glad to hear that he is ok. I sort'a figured he'd just got stewed over the new format and just threw his hands up; hope he can get re-accustomed to the new. I truly understand the frustration, though, I used to be so opposed to computers and their application that I retired because of it - not really, but close to the truth. I could get more done with a pen and paper in a work day than two days of fooling around trying to get that infernal machine to do what I wanted.

I'm glad Ken is ok, He's a nice guy, I hope he gets to post again soon as i enjoy everybodys projects.

ken was on chr yesterday at 11:08 am. I suspect he just hates this new format as most of us do too bad I really enjoyed his projects .....ted

Steve, since it is you I certainly wouldn't hesitate, and don't think Ken would mind at all, but I better not until I ask him..............I'm sure you will understand. I just don't want to make that decision for Ken.
As Ted mentioned, Ken hasn't posted since the change, and I don't know if that is why or what. He did mention to me something about it being different for him somehow, but I can't recall exactly what he said the issue was. Maybe part of it is that his businesses are keeping him much busier these days, this new economic climate has everyone working harder to keep things profitable, and Ken is probably no different there.
I'm like you guys, I miss Ken being on here a LOT! Not only because I like chatting with him and like him as a person, but because his build threads and contributions are way beyond amazing. When he crafts something it makes you stand back and say "OMG, how can a person DO THAT??" What a talented guy he is, and so humble for all that he has attained and what he is capable of doing with his two hands. Whenever I talk with Ken it just blows me away how genuinely nice of a guy he is.
We will do everything we can to get him back here posting.

Don, I also miss Ken's contributions to CHR, I really enjoyed seeing every new post from him. It's a shame to loose so much talent due to the format change but I know how he feels, it doesn't seem like the same place now. Hope he's back soon!!Quote:

Steve, I'd also encourage you to use the pm or internal email link to contact Ken as I share Pop's feeling that it's up to Ken to release his direct email, he's very much alive and well. I suspect the change in the photo posting format has put him off, I'm not too happy with it either, but it is what it is. He's a busy guy and just probably doesn't feel the need to try to master a new, less familiar process. Besides, if you got on his daily email loop you'd have to not mind naked women, airplanes, and a touch of politics............................me?...........I'm okay with that because, like Mrs. Johnboy says...............I'm a dirty ol' man.
Since "the change" (probably not a coincidence that's the term women use for menopause:rolleyes:) I've not gotten any true pop-up ads (if that term means the same thing I think of), and notice that since the bitching got cranked up a couple weeks ago the banner ads are gone too, just a couple small links under the first posting on each page now.
None on CHR to see, we hate them just as much as you guys, so if you see them and you are surfing here, then your personal system is infected.Quote:

I tried to sprinkle it on my morning toast but it's just not the same. However, the saving grace is that my lovely wife stopped in with two DD "BIG ONES", one hot, and one ice coffee, which within 10 minutes were both gone, I'm sending one of my emplyees over to McD's for one of their extra large sweet teas :D .....Much better than those 5 hour energy drinks, it should keep me going till at least 6:30pm, at which time I hope to be at least close to home.Quote:

He also mentioned that he is a little discouraged with the changes here in format, he can't seem to get his posts through. I offered to help him with that, and told him we really miss his threads and him personally.
