A Professional Builder gave me the thumbs up today.

A Professional Builder gave me the thumbs up today.
I have met this guy a couple times before thru some freinds but had never had him over to the house. Well he found out about the lathe I am selling and came over to take a look at it. Anyway him and another guy that build alcohol funny cars together are walking past my Ranchero that is under a tarp. The guy looks at it walks back and starts pulling the tarp up. Before I know it both guys are up under the tarp looking at the frame I built. For the next couple minutes I hear look at this and the way I did that and I really like that. When they get done they both agree that they both like what I did with the design on the frame and how strong it looks. Makes me fell really good since it is my first frame build. With the way my health has been on the decline the last couple of years, and not being able to put in any wrench time on it. I have been getting pretty discouraged about the build and thinking of nixing it. And to think I was actually thinking of leaving it behind when I move. I guess I'll have to take it with me now. HE! HE! HE! Kurt

And leaving the Ranchero behind? That was just talk right?
...at least I'm enjoying the ride!

I'm sure the praise was well deserved. Your skill and craftmanship didn't go unnoticed! Don't give up on your Ranchero project. Take care

Thats what we are shooting for Sfort.
No Hot Rod Surfer I was really gonna leave it behind.
I am not now though, But it gets depressing not being able to do anything.
This climate is not good for my lungs, hopefully that will change once we
hit the Nevada boarder. Plus I have some friends with there own shops
out there so maybe I'll be able to get some help.
Thanks Deuce Ya it will be the first thing out there now is the plan.

Thanks Barb; It made me feel good about what I had done anyway.
I wish I could say I planned it like that from the beging but thats not the way it happened.
They liked the way I had put 4 rails under the cab of the truck it's self to stregthen it.
The outside rails were not planned but I needed them to fasten the frame to the rocker pannels,
of the body. Everything just kind of fell in to place.
It was harder cutting out the old rusted thru floor then it was to weld in the new frame.

Hey Kurt that is good news about the compliments on your work and funny how the Lord works eh.,here you were thinking of ditching your project and all of a sudden, people are giving you the lift in confidence to rethink your decision. I will pray that your move goes really sweet and smooth as so as possible. Take care my friend,Whip.
