Well glad to hear that she is alright. I't's hard to get near them wild dogs, I have seen a few down here but they don't usally last long down here.
With heart worms and all down here, with out treatment they will start swelling up and have heart failure. We didn't have those problems out west in the Nevada desert.
Them differant climates sure throw some wrenches in the works, Hopefully she will make a full recovery.

She must have thought it over and decided that your house is a good place to hang out!
From the way she's looking at the bottom of that dish, the food must not be all that bad either.
It should be interesting to see whether she develops some trust in you. Let us know from time to time.
By the way, Mello, have you been able to enjoy any of this wild weather we are having in our part of the world? Today my youngest brother (who lives in Itasca) was having a bottle or two with some of his buddies in Fort Worth while two tornadoes went by. One to the North of his house and one to the South.
His wife was home alone at the time.
He was not anticipating a cordial welcome when he got there.

BT, it is like we are in a glass bubble here in Leon County - - - - we watched severe storms with hail and tornadoes coming at us from the NW (DFW area) and they passed by about 14 miles north of our place, Praise the Lord. Supposed to be the same stuff this evening and then clear off and get better. Shine, has been lucky also being in the area he is in. I've been involved in a couple of twisters and don't want anymore of that s*** ! Once you hear that non-existing "Freight Train" you will never forget it ! Sure glad your Bro and Wiffy didn't suffer any harm or damages.
Thanks again for Y'alls input,
meller
last one was 10 miles south of me.
She was probably just looking for her next nesting site! You may have an opportunity for a puppy!:3dSMILE:
We had one come thru south of us, about that same distance this evening but I haven't heard of any damages or anything yet.
?puppy? I sure hope not, sfort, we buried our "last" old dog a couple of years ago
and that was pretty much "it" for us - - - - we've paid our dues - - let someone else take over now
Hope I'm not boring Y'all with this but I got closer to her today
than I ever have before and she doesn't act terrified as before.
I had some left overs and sliced cheese that I fed her and when
she finished eating she just curled up in the back yard and didn't
jump up and run when I came back outside as before. I managed
to get another anti-biotic down her also. She still doesn't put any
weight on the injured leg but, as you can see, it sure looks better.

your a good man my friend . she's a pretty dog. have your wife pour melted cheese over ya and set in the yard ..... :)
She is looking good! Summer is coming and she will see you out in the yard more often. Shine has a good plan!
Thanks ?friends? I think? - - - picked up some canned dog food and kibbles and bits today so hopefully she will come back around. I would have posted sooner but I couldn't get on the computer until I washed all that melted chez off.
yeah he's hooked now................... :D
She has a home if she wants it!:D
Yeah, I'm hooked and I admit it !
Great story keep us posted . She seems to trust you enough to keep coming back. We have two rescues, both were abused. One is a pit mix with boxer, and he is about as sweet as they come. The other is a mix of all sorts of things with a general lab look to her, she is terrified of load bangs, flinches when you pet her, and was rescued from a stolen vehicle owned by druggies. She is safe with people and kids but gets aggressive with other dogs. We've had her two years and the boy for three years.. Both great dogs who are grateful we took them in. Tiva the girl wouldn't come close at first,, but gradually came up to me, now I think she loves me more than my wife. She even comes up to be pet, but flinches a little still even while she snuggles up!
i dont even like dogs.................
Me neither - - - danged old egg suckiing flea bags
never had any use for them, especially the little muts !

Neither of those little dogs like being so far off the ground..It must be a problem when ya legs are that short...:D:D
You may not like them,Shine, but that one in the picture must like you, or he/she is trying to keep you from getting away. We don't much like dogs either :p;); we're having a bit of a hard time right now because we are "dogless" for the first time in our history together; we both say that we will go outside, and by habit, will look for them in their usual spots, I look for their friendly faces at the gate when I drive in the driveway, and I still start to go out and feed them.
Shine, does this look like your Dog?
Sounds about like something you would do !
