One of the best suggestions I saw on another forum was to hire off duty police officers for the night to watch over a group of cars. They said for between $ 25-$35 per hour, four hour min, you can hire one. Wouldn't be practical for one guy to hire a guard, but if a group of rodders staying in the same place chipped in, then it would be. Certainly cheaper than losing your car, even if it IS insured to the hilt.
