That sure is a lot of water. Hope it stops soon. It seems like we're getting weather extremes everywhere these days. Not sure if it's a news media thing, or that we are experiencing more natural tradgeties. Hope all of your family remains safe."

One of the main rivers through Brisbane is running up to 22 METRES higher..10 dead,68 confirmed missing..and it aint over yet..My brother in law and his family live on the edge of a range of hills,,they are safe, but nearly totally cut off,,havent heard from my bro..but he is further north, and only has swollen rivers around him..Bro in law bought the property because of its height..God help Aussie if he gets flooded..Its just so scary, watching those cars getting washed away, and the water rising so quick..

I watched the noon news on the tube and they had some video of one of the flooded areas - and were calling it a mini tsunami. WOW was that water moving. It had picked up a car and was throwing it every direction. Nineteen reported dead so far with more rain forecast. I don't worry about a bit of snow and some cold when I see those videos.Dave W
