I agree, I couldn't actually shoot someone, unless I felt my life, or my families lives, were in danger. Then all bets are off. I sure wouldn't hesitate to hold someone at gunpoint until the cops showed up though. I saw that happen on Cops one time on TV, some jerk was trying to steal an old mans car and the old guy had him spread eagled with a gun to his head on the lawn when the cops showed up. The police shook the old mans hand and took the thief away in cuffs.

I watch Court TV a lot, and it seems the laws in most States are bending a little in the favor of people defending their lives and property. Something has to be done, there are way too many criminals for the police to catch them all without our help.
