last year i started having pure hell with my blasting rig. damn thing just would not work right no matter what i did. i change media , adjusted air did everything i could think of. fought it for most of the year. then we decided the media valve was worn out or something so i tore it down to replace. this is what i found. in all there were 3 mummified mice in the bottom of the valve. made it really hard to adjust .i now have a screen over the hopper .

Chipmunks, crazy but I never ever saw a chipmunk in my lifetime around here except for ALVIN on saturday mornings
But in the last couple of years they are everywhere. And its not unusual to find signs of em in at least 1 or 2 vehicles per day that come through my shop. At least they are cute little buggars.

Hope the Humane Society don't see that, Dave,

I had to remove a little "meese" for the squirrel cage in my Nissan PU this summer. He had just barely started stinking when I located him. Thank God I didn't close the cab and not drive it for a week, which I do very often.

Cute - No way!!!
Oh yeah - they destroyed an $800 reefer in a camper plus ate through a wall, ate the insulation off the tractor's glow plugs, have eaten spark plug wires on my truck, ruined a 100' electric extension cord, have nibbled on a hose nozzle just to name a few things. One positive - they do aerate the yard with their holes
I own a Hav-A-Heart trap and "transport" them, as many as 6 one day this past summer.
I do have a nice recipe for chipmunk chile if anyone is interested, compliments of Mello Yello

Yup.I know, our worst problem with chewed wiring around here seems to be with squirrels. I'd have never dreamed that untill after doing several chewed wire repairs and talking to customers several of em reported watching squirrels run in and out from under their cars the same day they had to have em towed in. But it is a common fo us to find nests from mice or chipmunks in air cleaners and heater blower squirrel cages.
