The attitudes that many (most?) kids today is reflected in what they see and hear on the theater screens, TV and computers(and mom and dad). I'm sure I'm among the 'most elderly' here as far as age (not in mind tho) and can remember going through my grandfathers National Geographic magazines for those 'forbidden' pictures of topless 'native' women. Today, just turn on the TV and some of the movies feature nudity well beyond those magazines. There were the 'art' theaters back in the old days that had movies with Brigitte Bardot and others - not much to compare with today's general offerings. The language - I recall well the first time I uttered a profanity heard by mom. OUCH. Not much left for the imagination now from both boys and girls, men and women. The internet - holy moly - do a Google on certain words. Whatever you want to see - it's there in full living front, back internal color. Now back to TV - morning cable shows, even 4 square Fox News. 0700 or so - uhhhh mom, what's 'erectile dysfunction' from your 5 year old. Then the afternoon soap operas - mom, what's that red spot mean and what's a tampon? and from your 7 year old daughter. The world has lost its way as far as morals and codes of behavior. People do atrocities for the thrill of it with no thoughts of the consequences. Then of course, drugs. I have no personal experiences with them besides an occasional antibiotic or aspirin so have no 'feel' for what they can do. I do have an occasional adult beverage, and more then a couple times, a few more then that - but no longer. The war on drugs - not lost, but lots of battles have been failures. But an opinion of mine and probably some medical info to back it can probably be found is that many of the kids were damaged mentally by the drugs their parents used.
Then there are the racial problems that contribute but I wont discuss this subject on an internet forum.
I wish we could go back to the '50s and maybe regain our personal standards and some morality, but it gonna happen.Dave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

I check in everyday and some are better than others. I don't think Brent has anything to do with the forum anymore, but I'm not sure. Hopefully as time moves on the forum will get better.
Where is everybody?
