Most of you probably don't know that I totaled my daily driver 4x4 pickup in an accident on Sept 4th when I hit a telephone pole.. but I did, and both my passanger and I walked away, and were/ are fine.... this has kinda put me in a pickle because the Beetle, is all I have now, and is what I'm driving daily.. but it's cold, windy days blow it over the road like a kite, and it has been quiet windy lately... I couldn't make the winter with it where I live, and wouldn't want to anyway... it is a fun car to drive and gets attention wherever it goes ( very presentable ). but right now it's not practical and I have no money to go out and buy another DD..

It's a 1974 Super Beetle Wolfsburg with the Autostick.. floors should be replaced. I have the drivers floor pan from wolfsburg west, and it would be replaced except the seats were swapped ( german seats, but unknown brand, they Look VW to me ) and they built goofy seat risers that are welded into the original tracks. they are solid and they work, but there bulky. and so I never cut the pan out .. so w/o mods, it needs 2 '73+ Beetle seats.. floors have been temp repaired solid and there ok for a daily driver, but correctly, it would have the right seats and new pans... also just did a brake job, had some wiring done due to an inop light... full tuneup has it running good, and it's a car I don't worry about really... $100 stereo system ( speakers are cheap VR3 6x9's in box's in the rear storage area, and the Head unit is a cheap Pyle AM/FM/MP3 unit.. but it sounds ok... I paid $1,500 for it, and need to get at least that out of it, being my time and it's now a drivable car that's state inspected for the next year... My boss is pretty much begging me to sell it ( which I havn't given him a yes or no, being the title isn't back right yet ).. he said he's finding them for $2,500 for 1's that are as nice or a little nicer than mine, but others for a lot more also, and slim pickings ... I don't think I will ask $2,500. but I was thinking $2,000- $2,200 somewhere in there was a fair price. letting everything I have go with it that I bought for it.... I found another '74 Super, that had the correct seats, but isn't on the road and is showing 1/4 vent rust ( mine does not have 1/4 vent rust ). they want $3,900 for it and it says needs brake work and that it runs... is $2,200 a fair price?

I'll pick up a pre -68 next year, or possibly a Corvair depending
