Yeah, that would have about 10 groups raising h*** if you did that today. We saw a couple of those black jockey boy statues at a swap meet a while back, haven't seen those in years, but I remember we had one with a lantern in his hand in our driveway entrance when I was a kid.

Oh heck Richard you had me sucker in there for a minute.... I thought that Ford had finally woken up to the fact that the distributors should be at the rear of the engine block...
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Richard, when my grandma died, we went to her house, and I took a plastic set of salt and pepper shakers as a momento of her.. They were shaped like two black servants. It was the epidome of my grandma, a tough old bird who may have been a bit opinionated and "politically incorrect", but she was my role model for work ethics, which I stand by today. I loved her, and those shakers still make me laugh and think of her.

Richard - that's a really politically incorrect ad these days. Heck, might even be cause for a visit from the ACLU( I'll refrain from getting political again on threat of being beaten)

Whip - if I had a Chebbie in my car and with the engine setback I would need a trap door to set the timing (or even see the distributor).

Now - isn't this easier to work on:

Ill jump in here in front of Whippy...Course its easier...Who in their right mind would put a dissy in the rear of an engine anyway?? You only gotta smack the firewall in for clearance in an engine swap...
