Heck Kurt, just read your post out to mum,and we are surprised to to hear about your knees and how it has effected your lungs. My story is very boring really. After my wife and I seperated, I decided it was time to reinvent myself, I wasn't happy with the middle age spread (weight) I had gained so decided to take up road running again, not realizing that the little cartilage I had left in my knees was not up to that sort of punishment. 5 years ago I had surgery on each leg where metal plates and screws were placed to straighten my legs so that my weight now was on the remainder cartilage,but now I have worn that down to bone grinding on bone they are going to give me some new knees,chrome plated with a grease nipple I hope. Another thing that has my doctor concerned is that my liver is showing signs of deteriorating because of the number of pain killers I have been taking so I have been put on top priority. What is really frustrating is that while I can't work, I should be out in the garage working on the bucket, but I turn this computer on and that is that for most of the day!!
