Man, is it nice to be warm again.

Been almost 3 years since hearing from you? So, what's goin' on? Very glad to see your screen name up there again!!

I'm a bass player... I decided to pursue that for a while. I was playing in a punk band practicing 3 days a week (soooo not punk) and playing lots of regional shows. We took a Northeast tour last Spring and the band dissolved. I couldn't hang with those guys any more... too many clashing egos and hidden agendas.

I found another band to hang with that has a much less rigid schedule and a cool raunchy sound. We only practice once a week and (for now) only play local shows.

Since I'm not touring, I can have a day-job (yeah, money!!!). I landed a 8-5 at a European car garage as a diagnostician. I do electrical and driveability work... no more heavy lifting unless the boss (crazy Italian) doesn't trust his other guys to do it. Then he asks me to do it as a "favor" and pays me accordingly. This gig is right up my alley... I worked for Mercedes as a diag tech for 6 years.

Anyway... I've got the Rally Corvair stripped to the shell to redo some of the bodywork, flare the fenders 1.5", add an external flip-top fuel filler, and paint it. I'm going to shoot VW Gecko Green, which is the funky 60's green found on the new Beetle. It should look great with some 16 x 7 Panasports, my reason for flaring the fenders
