Roland, glad your timing was right, that you had the foresight to arm yourself, and that things worked as they did. Being out in the country carries with it being farther away from law enforcement and the need to be able to fend for yourself as you did.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Glad to see that you caught the baddies. Too bad that they will probably be turned loose to continue - especially with today's crappy justice system.

Luckily - never have had tools stolen or the house broken into. When we lived in the boonies, we were told that there were some problems and had an alarm system installed - with the little signs. We moved back to suburbia and in a nice community and had a better alarm installed. The houses on both sides of us as well as several other neighbors have been broken into. Again with the little signs and window stickers, I think we beat the baddies - I have seen foot tracks in the yard - snow and morning dew after the bad guys were doing their deed. It isn't free - but IMO - well worth the $20/month for monitoring and the little yard signs and window stickers - they also help.

Glad you went out for a smoke, or you wouldnt have any more tools. Glad you caught them, but some of our laws suck, they protect the crimnals too much. Weres the good old days, GET A ROPE

It's ashame when you have to watch your back now a days.We have an alarm system , dog , double locks and dead bolts on our shop and we live in the boon docks. We have never even had a hint of a problem but its better to be over protected the way I look at it.Glad you were ok and quick thinking on the pistol.
