I'm getting to hate Craigslist because of all the spam crap emails and calls. Everything from I can sell it for you at a greater price, you don't need to sell I have a way for you to make more money, go to this link, blah, blah, blah.

Go back and read my 0932 post from this morning - they have to respond to me via email - I will NOT = never ever = post my phone number. If they respond with their phone in their email, I will, maybe, give them my number via email back. That depends on whether they are using good American idiomatic English and aren't offering me a better way to sell or send their agent with a check. If they then call me, then I'll consider it legit. On small stuff, I put it in my truck and meet them at the corner gas station instead of 'inviting' trouble into my home.

Craigslist can be a good tool, you just have to use common sense and patience.

I was trying to sell a truck toolbox on CL a few months ago.. never did CL b4 at that time and when a guy asked for my number I gave it to him.. he did call and sounded interested. but for the same day, I got an extra charge from USBI on my phone bill for like $80.. called them on it and it was an 'undisclosed charge'.. I told them it wasn't mine and after 4 months it was gone from the bill... the guy never did come to look at it

I do give out my phone number, but not until I exchange a few emails and sense there legit
