I hope it didn't sound like I was pickin' on you, Joe!
I guess I'm saying "Make room in the boat for me too because I'm in the same situation".
I lost a whole lot of blood in the ordeal and the doc told me my count was near where a transfusion was in order. He left it to me to say yes, no, or wait a little longer. I took the "wait" option in case they brought in somebody needing it worse than I did at that point.
They made me quit making my regular donations because I was put on a prostate medication that is a no-no where blood donations are concerned. At that time (about six months ago) I was in the Fort Worth blood center "Thirteen Gallon Club" so I won't feel guilty about taking a transfusion if I need one next time.
One of the greatest things about CHR is that every time word gets out that somebody needs support, regardless of the nature of that support, there is an outpouring of concern for that person, and that concern isn't lightly tendered (like maybe a funny get-well card or something like that).
It is very sincere. And I think that's great.
Glad you're doing okay!

Naaaaaaaaaaa, I knew you weren't.
Hey ya need someone to lean on???
Here I am
Thanks for giving blood, if it wasn't for people like yourself many of us wouldn't be around right now. I use to give platelets and blood also.
When I had to stop(back surgery) I had given over 60 units of platelets about about 10units of blood. Those folks liked seeing me because I could and would give 2 units of platelets every 2 weeks and blood about 3 months. If I am able to do it again, I'll be there like clockwork once again...joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE
Two possibilities exist:
Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not.
Both are equally terrifying.
