Most probably seen this before but for those that havent. Its a couple rules you follow around your dog that really takes no extra time from you. I think it works great and reading on the net its mainly for "working dogs" and works almost instantly to settle down your dog, keeping him settled down is a different story,lol. Its a start for training and is working for me thought Id pass it on.

I used to hunt pheasants with 2 german shorthairs (mother and son). When we were in the field they went where I wanted them to but when they got the "scent" all of a sudden they were in charge. the only time "we" screwed up was when "I" didn't trust their nose and tried to point them in another direction. Missed more than a few chances doing that. After they were gone I hunted with 2 springers. Both hunted great but one was a helper in the shop, the other couldn't care less. The helper was under the car with me or climbing on the fender dying to help. Either that or he was trying to figure out what the hell I was doing:LOL:. I know this is some what off the subject but couldn't resist. I now have a Jack russell who thinks I work for her. Those with Jack russells know what I mean.

Well, it's sure easy to see that none of us have spoiled dogs, anyway!!!!!
A few months ago, I was sound asleep and having the weirdist dream.
I was dreaming I was on, of all things, a garbage scow.
I was sitting on the top of a heap of garbage and watching the tug pulling us up the river to a dumping site.
The smell was horrible and so bad you could almost taste it.
Pretty soon I started to gag and couldn't breath.......
Then I awoke to see a big black nose about three inches from my face, staring at me just waiting for me to wake up.
They won't touch you while you're sleeping.
They just wait for a sign......

I havent owned a dog for some years now,would love another German Shepherd,just a matter of time now,after seeing the collection of four legged friends you guys have put on here..

Sounds like my Boxers, Dogtag.
Mine do the samething, I can get up and use the bathroom and they won't budge.
Once they hear me pick up the keys for my buglerbars they race to the door. And god help who's ever inbetween them and that door. HE! HE! HE! Kurt

My best friend - sometimes I think he's my only friend.
Lays around the house all day unless he hears the keys or sees me put a hat on - I think he's spoiled
I adopted him from the people that had him when he was four years old and I really think he's afraid to be left alone and abandoned.

Yup Jack, easy to recognize a working dog!!!! I think the shot of Luke in the chair is great!!! I had an Irish Setter for 16 years, she liked to do the same thing----well, till Spike (Siamese Tomcat) would decide he wanted the chair....:LOL::LOL::LOL:
