Somebody sent these to my brother and he forwarded them to me.
After looking at them I can't decide whether I want to grin or cry.
Is that what they call "nostalgia"?

Oops ..... The pictures didn't transmit.
I'll try again.
My wife has interceded to straighten me out on posting pictures.
I think. Here are the first five.
Sorry, friends.
Jane can't things to work either. She feels like we might have a glitch on this end.
I guess I'll have to call in the pros.
Jim
i see everything fine
Man, back when they were new and shiny!!!!!! Any of the Buicks would do just fine, thank you!!!!!
Here ya go Jim, I got the same email a couple weeks ago :D
And more.......
You're right Jim, pretty cool stuff...........
I'd give my left one.... maybe both, for any single truckload!
.....and to think, many of those jewels have been melted down and returned as....#gag-barf # Toyotas, Subaru's and Hondas.
I had posted these pictures on another Forum last week with similar viewer commentaries. The one thing that has gone un-commented upon are the trailers. I'm intrigued by the various shapes, especially the art deco based designs. Quite a contrast to the totally utilitarian ones we see today.
Thanks, Uncle Bob!
I don't know what I did to PO our computer. It won't even show me the ones you so kindly posted.
I guess I can't claim age discrimination because you gentlemen can see them. Anyway, our card-carrying geek son-in-law will be in town for Thanksgiving and I'll have him sniff out the problem.
And you're right about the trucks. I want the Studebaker.
Jim
on another note.
Those were some tough old truckers. The roads were horrible, the trucks were underpowered, the rpm range insanely small, and the transmissions were difficult to use at best.
Those pictures look really nice love the black, and white. It's like Ansel Adams nice work.
