ram also sells different weighted levers as well. i was thinking about a front line pressure gauge like dave mentioned. launches are im assuming are going to be around 5500-7000
Should be right in there, maybe a bit lower... Can't remember what your car weighs... In my old Maverick with the 302 and Mr. Nash, car weighed 2280 with me in it, 4.88 gears I launched at 5200 and shifted at 7500.... Heavier weight on the car means with some clutch tweaking per Professor Clayton you should be able to get a decent launch at about the same revs.... I used to launch higher, but low gear got to quick...I went lighter on the counterweights, dropped the revs and took about 1/2 a tenth off the 60 foot.... As usual, "Your results may vary"!!!!
before you get to far you should dail in the can for run out to the crank cent line and use off set dowels to dail it in . i have set up the ram like in photo with counter weights and other s
hey Pat, why don't you buy my 'maro, then I can build me a 302 for my Bronco II and go put a whoopin' on Scooter's chebbie???????
You can keep the food stamps, I don't eat much anyway....but scrap iron is on it's way up again!!!!!!!!:LOL::LOL:I sure do know what you mean on the no income!!!!! Only thing I've sold in the last 90 days is 2 loads of scrap iron and a used pair of bucket seats!!!!!!:LOL::LOL:
pat i remembered that for the centerline also i am going to have the entire clutch assembly plus flywheel balanced to zero.
dave, i amnot sure never have scaled the car, car is gutted ,only one seat, no interior, 8 point cage, not even door panels. i figured 3000 with me being 300lbs and iron heads. i am looking into a set of these heads though. nice looking and cheap priced.
ray franks profilers http://www.profilerperformance.com/sbc-heads-176.html
I've seen a couple sets of the Profilers, don't know much about them, but by appearance they seem to be a good head for the money---maybe Pat has run across a couple sets.....???????
Thought I had a killer set of Canfield's bought very right--2.05's, all CNC'd, but they got away!!!! chit!
Heck, bring the car over next weekend and we'll put it on the wheel scales!!!!!:LOL::LOL: Some of them circle burner guys out there must have some scales, don't they?????
Still think I'm gonna have to sell the 'maro and build me a SBF so we can do some heads-up playin'!!!!!!!!!! Especially now that you're officially a 3 pedal guy and no longer shiftless!!!!!;)

In some of my weaker moments, I'm still tempted to do up the little 95" wheelbase Bronco II as a Gasser!!!! Straight ax, 5 speed, and wheels up launches---absolutely the most fun you could ever hope to have!!!!! :whacked:
i was thinking me and you both yanking the wheels bangin gears heads up would be pretty fun:D you could do up a 62-64 faclon or comet :D
Whatcha mean???? You don't like my chopped Bronco II?????
hmmmm-gonna put up a pic, but I can't get them to load--oh well... I don't have a Comet or Falcon, was looking for one last summer and everything I found was either junk or way over priced....Anyway, I keep thinking the short wheelbase would make it more fun!!!!! You know, that old guardrail to guardrail excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!:LOL::LOL:
:whacked:now if you had a 532 ford stroker haha that would be interesting:whacked:
I do still have a good set of BBF heads, complete valve train, intake, carb, ignition....hmmmmm... Know where did I leave that other 460 block?????:LOL::LOL:
